while searching for a makan place near Robinson Road, i was checking out via goggling earth/map.

it shows a Telok Aer MRT Station at near Cross Street !!!!

3 more days to work and I am also off for the year.. complimentary days off from boss so i can go for my short 1 week holiday till year end ...yeah!!!!!

If you take that new bus from JB and say eventual destination is Ang Mo Kio..

Kena pwned, it's e most expensive option.

170 - Kranji - AMK: $1.01 + $0.74 = $1.75

950 - Marsiling - AMK: $1.01 + $0.69 = $1.70

CW1 (Yellow Bus) - Kranji - AMK: $0.38 (RM0.90) + $1.57 = $1.95

AC7 - Yishun - AMK: $0.84 (RM2) + $1.15 = $1.99

So unless you're staying at Yishun, then it's worth it.

It's because of distance fare.

say like I rather take Yellow Bus, so I take from Kranji to AMK is $1.57, distance is 18.2km.

Since 170X is 6km from JB to Kranji (total fare based on 24.2km, total fare $1.75), because of distance fare, in comparison the 170X fare is just $0.18 vs Yellow Bus's RM0.90 or S$0.38.

That's why w/ exception of Yew Tee, it's cheaper to take 170 or 950.

It's pretty ironic. Last time from Larkin take CW1 is cheaper than 170 by 10c, but w/ distance fare, taking 170 - MRT can be up to 40c cheaper than CW1.

Well, I also take the yellow bus becoz it's faster, save more time...

If I spend 20 cents to save 10 mins then it's very much worth it...

Well, the buses are pretty frequent and empty during off peak. I think cos of fare issue.

But that said, it's because their buses dun ply to Larkin. Only 1 special bus operating bet 0900 - 2100 goes to Larkin.

If need to go Larkin is still llst take 170

and last night, my aunt made reservations for xmas dinner - cuisinecuisine.hk

place looks super posh. am so looking forward. she was also asking for recommendations for sunday dinner. i'm thinking xi yan or bo innovations. guys, any recommendations?
